My name is Caroline Murphy and I'm a graphic designer and events coordinator!

As a born and bred Appalachian, I aim to create works that are conscious of the unique power art holds to not only connect a community, but to benefit that community as well. In my diverse approaches to creation, including illustration, graphic design, animation, creative coding, workshop development, interactive and participatory art, etc., I use these mediums to communicate for and drive outcomes for movements, business, organizations, nonprofits and mission-driven organizations.

At the intersections of commercial and fine art, of community-driven work and personal pieces, of design that benefits a community at-large, the organization and the artist, these multifaceted areas are where my work resides. Design can be more than an aesthetic addition or veneer – it has the power to reshape perspectives and drive lasting change.

Through my work as a designer and events coordinator, I hope to facilitate growth through the unique connection that art brings. We need arts and culture now more than ever, because when the arts and culture interweave it has real economic impact and paves the way for innovation.
